Private Firm Knowledge
Connected Legal Research
Behind every legal matter are people counting on sound judgment. Behind those judgments are years of work, experience, and lessons worth carrying forward.
We’re building CounselCore to help law firms put that experience to work through private, internal AI. We invite investors who believe technology should strengthen professional judgment and respect the trust clients place in their lawyers.
CounselCore is being built to help lawyers use the knowledge their firm has already earned while retaining control of confidential material. Its design combines matter-level access permissions and firm-controlled AI processing with a separate research workflow that uses abstracted legal-issue queries to consult configured external sources. Traceable citations distinguish internal evidence from external research, helping lawyers examine the support, identify gaps, and apply their own judgment.
The Opportunity
A firm’s past work should be more than an archive. Briefs, memos, transcripts, and prior matters hold hard-earned knowledge. When that experience is difficult to retrieve, lawyers spend time retracing work the firm has already done—and useful insights can be missed.
CounselCore is designed to connect a firm’s own work with relevant research from approved external sources, helping lawyers find useful experience, examine supporting authorities, and bring informed judgment to new work.
For investors, the opportunity is to help build a company around a practical need: making accumulated legal knowledge more useful while respecting confidentiality.
Firm Control. Connected Research.
Our approach brings three capabilities together:
- Firm knowledge: Source-backed answers drawn from the firm’s documents and prior matters, so lawyers can build on work already done.
- External research: Research from approved sources through a separate discovery workflow, with firm-approved controls over outbound queries.
- Firm control: Designed to keep private documents and core AI processing within firm-controlled infrastructure, with matter permissions governing access.
A Path to Deeper Legal Research
Public legal sources provide a foundation for research. Separately licensed services offer a path to deeper court records, legal content, and litigation analytics—giving lawyers more context for the work in front of them.
For investors, this is a path to expand the value of CounselCore: connect a firm’s own experience with a wider research ecosystem while preserving firm control over its private knowledge.
Public Sources and Licensed Expansion
Public research: Implemented research paths include CourtListener opinions and oral arguments, GovInfo publications, eCFR regulations, Federal Register documents, Congress.gov bill records, and official U.S. Code website search. RECAP filing retrieval requires a configured CourtListener token. Regulations.gov, Open States / Plural, and LegiScan adapters are implemented and await credentials and validation.
Licensed expansion: Potential additions include Westlaw / Thomson Reuters, LexisNexis, CourtLink, Lex Machina, State Net, Law360, vLex / Vincent, Fastcase, UniCourt, and Bloomberg Law’s docket service. Each would require the applicable provider agreement, permitted API access, and integration work. The existing LegiScan adapter also offers a path to permitted paid pull plans.
Docket Alarm: The current adapter supports indexed docket and filing discovery. Broader document retrieval, monitoring, and analytics would require further integration and licensed access.
Provider coverage and availability vary. Source retrieval supports attorney review; it does not establish completeness, applicability, or whether an authority remains good law.
The Company We’re Building
Our ambition is to make CounselCore part of how law firms preserve their experience and apply it to new work—keeping professional judgment and client trust at the center.
We’re inviting investors to help turn that ambition into a durable business. We welcome partners who care about the people this technology serves and are willing to ask thoughtful questions about the product, the business, and the risks.
If that purpose resonates with you, we would welcome a conversation. We’ll share what we’re building, discuss the opportunity, and make room for your questions so you can decide whether CounselCore is the right fit for you.

About the SAFE and Investment Process
A SAFE—Simple Agreement for Future Equity—is an investment agreement that generally converts into equity upon a future priced financing or another event described in the agreement. It is not a loan, does not accrue interest, and does not have a maturity date.
The post-money structure is intended to provide greater transparency into the ownership and dilution associated with the SAFE financing. The valuation cap establishes the maximum company valuation used to calculate the SAFE’s conversion price; it is not a guarantee of the company’s current valuation, future value, or investment return.
Once we agree on the investment amount, we will prepare the final SAFE for signature. After it is signed, we will countersign it and provide the applicable wiring instructions.
